Bottle Share: the Spring Thaw (april 26th, 2014)

"the Spring Thaw"
(april 26th, 2014)

So its become a somewhat regular occurrence to have a weekend bottle share with a various array of beer folk who are as interested in trying and finding new brews from around the globe as myself.

This week it was shaping up to just be a trio of the regular portland crew them being myself, jbportland (RB) & n8dagr8  (BA) !

This was the result:

A pretty spectacular line up, I threw out the base for the tasting saying I was going to crack the Hommage, Bzart Lambiek and Beersel Mattina and the others came loaded with amazing
selections as well.

Full line up from left to right:

Crooked Stave Waelzblood
Crooked Stave Batch #60
Bzart Lambiek
Cantillon Vigernone
Cantillon Saint Lamvinus
Oude Quetsche Tilquin a' l'Ancienne
3 Fonteinen Hommage
Birrificio del Ducato Beersel Mattina
Side Project the Origin
Sante Adairius Ron Chavez
Jackie O's Barrel Oil of Aphrodite w/ Coffee
Alchemist Beelzebub
Almanac Farmers Reserve Pluot
Blue Lobster Pisctaquaweisse

the West Coast vs. East Coast Pluot Challenge!
(no clear winner, both unique and delicious in their own way.)

Overall everything was outstanding, a couple let downs but that is the way these things always end up! Sometimes that bottle you jumped through hoops and let go of some serious dough or great local beer for ends up being a let down. Welcome to the world of foraging !
